Discoverer (2022; 2025-26) is a theatrical scenic work for live voice and electronics. Originally written for women's chorus, Discoverer is a conversation between the self.

The soloist, who stands off-center, is surrounded by thoughts and contemplations of their

life. The circulation creates a wishing well - a wanting for change, improvement, and

clarity. The electronics and voice work as if they are the same mind; it can be thought to

treat them as both one and as individual characters. The texture sonically can be

described as euphoric, with the intention of feeling sound and emotion through

both vibrations and association. Discoverer, in itself, is an exploration of

storytelling and the expressive fluidity of the voice.
